I have found that in my case the ASW28 kit was excellent.
I have no idea of the quality of the balsa in the wing as it is covered with plastic film and in appearance is comparable with a composite wing.
Anyone with any experience on sailplanes will have no trouble in assembling this model without photos,plans or inventory.
However you will need the CG. and this was shown on the single sheet instructions that came with my kit.
This model is a SCALE model of a HIGH PERFORMANCE sailplane. It is not a light thermal sailplane and therefore it is weighty with a high wing loading and it flies fast..... very fast.
Scale models should fly like the fullsize aircraft.
The full size ASW28 is no hands- off "pussy". It requires a skillfull pilot to get it to perform to its design capabilities.
This model is the same and it will "bite" you if you have not the necessary skills.
This model is NOT for inexperienced modellers, but for those who appreciate the joy of gracefull sailplanes.
According to my listing both models of the ASW 28 are still being made by FlyFly and available from Hobby 88.com.
